The port's secured, fireproof wharves and transit sheds have wide aprons with
double-marginal rail tracks, and are next to dozens of acres of open storage.
The Port of Beaumont boasts 6,800 feet of harbor front with eight ship berths. In addition to the Harbor Island Marine Terminal and the grain wharf, the port has several facilities for loading, unloading, moving and storing cargo:
- Wharves 2, 3 & 4: 1,373 feet in total length. Wharves
2 and 3 have double-marginal railroad tracks alongside 121,000 square feet of adjacent open wharf space.
Wharf 4 has a 57,730 square-foot transit shed.
- Wharves 5, 6 & 7: 1,438 feet in total length, flanking a 208,560 square-foot transit shed.
- Carroll Street Wharf: A 510-foot barge dock and two general cargo docks (670 and 765 ft., respectively), adjacent to 108,900 square feet of transit shed space and several acres for open storage.
