More than 7,000 tons of bagged wheat flour is on the way to feed the people of Yemen, thanks
to the efforts of the United States Department of Agriculture and the Port of Beaumont.

Longshoremen recently completed loading the huge relief shipment on board the M.V. Noble
Star, docked at the port's facilities on the Neches River in Beaumont. The flour was supplied
to the USDA by Cargill Flour Milling, and was packaged in 50-kilogram bags.
The Port of Beaumont was selected to handle this shipment of relief cargo because of its
excellent railroad connections, economical handling and wharfage charges and efficient longshore
labor.
Agent for the ship was Biehl & Company and the stevedore was Flanagan Shipping.
For more information on this shipment, please contact the Port of Beaumont.
