Major General Kathleen M. Gainey, Commanding General of the

U.S. Military's Surface Deployment and Distribution Command,

recently visited with administrators and staff of the Port of Beaumont.

While she was in Southeast Texas, Gen. Gainey also met with the staff of the

842nd Transportation Battalion and toured the Beaumont Reserve Fleet

maintained by the U.S. Maritime Administration.
